Help is On the Way!

HAL-PC has a 30-year history of users helping users to get the most from their computers. As a member of HAL-PC, you can benefit from all we have to offer and you are encouraged to give back to HAL-PC by taking advantage of our many volunteer opportunities.

User Support Information and FAQ's

If you have a question about suspicious Spam, want to know how to configure your email client to pick up email from HALNet, need the latest Microsoft Windows security patches, want to download an anti-spyware program or many other support issues, check out the Support page. You'll find well-organized resources to help you out of most basic user support situations, as well as contact information for HAL-PC and HALNet support staff.

PC Upgrade & Troubleshooting Workshop

Are you having a problem with your PC that telephone tech support just can't handle? Need help installing that new hardware controlled modem? Try bringing your machine in to headquarters for the PC Troubleshooting and Upgrade clinic on Friday mornings from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. HAL-PC members who are studying for their A+ certification will look over your equipment with you and try to fix your problem. No cost - HAL members only! Call (713) 993-3300 to schedule your time!

Special Interest Groups

HAL-PC hosts dozens of Special Interest Groups (SIGs), composed of members with common interests ranging from Digital Photography to Computer Investing to FoxPro! Look for your 'special interest' on the SIG list and check out a group today! If you don't find what you're looking for, consider forming a new SIG to fill the gap. We have all the resources you need to get started.

Volunteer Help Committee

The guiding principle of HAL-PC has always been 'members helping members'. Our volunteer help committee epitomizes that goal by making themselves available to answer HAL-PC members' questions about software, hardware and other computer-related issues. Their services are open to all members of HAL-PC at no charge. Whatever your problem, there is a HAL help committee member waiting to help! Check the help committee list in your current HAL-PC Magazine for contact information. Can't find your Magazine?
